The program aims at incorporating 450 Saudi young high school graduates in an intensive program over a two year period.

217 trainees have received training at Saudi Aramco's Ras Tanura Industrial Training Center in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province so far, and the remaining trainees will join the program before the end of 2009, as scheduled.

Satorp also plans to train and employ skilled workers in several fields, including technicians, mechanics, and operators in laboratories, precision machines, machine shop and maintenance, in addition to specialists in safety, fire fighting and industrial security.

The training period will be divided into two stages: Stage 1 is a two year program where trainees will receive academic training in the English language, mathematics and physics, in addition to technical training in specialized craft skills. Stage 2 is a one year practical training period at one of Saudi Aramco's or Total's refineries.

During the training period, Satorp provides the apprentices with attractive financial packages, including a monthly stipend, transportation allowance and housing. Trainees will also have medical insurance and paid annual leave.

The Company's benefits for its employees compare more than favorably with other companies in the highly competitive oil and petrochemical industry. They include an annual housing allowance, a home ownership plan and medical insurance for the employee and his dependents.
