ARY Digital Network to launch Hindi / Urdu language FM radio station

The ARY Digital Network has made a foray into the private FM radio business, announcing, its agreement with the Government of Ras Al Khaimah to attain the rights of the FM radio frequency 94.7 from March 20, 2009.

"We are very pleased to announce this association with ARY DIGITAL NETWORK, for the FM frequency 94.7, we wish them success and all the best in this new venture," said His Excellency Abdul Malik Bin Kayed Al Qassimi, Special Adviser to H.H The Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and The Chairman of Rak broadcasting authority.

The ARY Digital Network is one of the world's largest South Asian TV networks, broadcasting 11 Television channels in over 130 countries worldwide.

"We have achieved a milestone of vertical integration today by stepping into the Radio business," said Mr. Salman Iqbal, President & CEO of ARY Digital Network.

"We are confident that people of the UAE will love this new brand of radio that we are gearing up to provide. We will announce further details shortly." he added.
