"Thursday 19th March is our opening date and we can't wait to welcome guests again at the Lost Paradise of Dilmun. With the arrival of spring, we believe it is a perfect time to get back in the water and enjoy all the thrills and spills the Water Park has to offer," said Paul Blunt, General Manager, the Lost Paradise of Dilmun.

"Come and join us for the Opening Weekend and be one of the first to ride the slides and enjoy the party atmosphere that will continue throughout 2009," he added.

From 10am to 5pm the 14 rides, slides and attractions will be available for everyone to enjoy again and again. When guests need to take a break from the fun-filled action there are loads of shady spots to catch your breath or relax with a cool drink or ice cream.

The One Place for Families

Tylosplash, the Water Park's tallest attraction, brings the whole family together as four people of all ages can enjoy speeding and spinning down the chute before splash landing in the pool below.

Kids' Mesopomania is all about kids and getting wet. With different levels to explore the Kids' Rain Fortress will keep the kids entertained for hours with slides, water curtains, and the large bucket which empties every 3 minutes to squeals of delight.

Younger kids are also well looked after with a specially designed Tots' Pool which is just the right size for wading and trying out the gentle slides.

Families can also enjoy relaxing in the Spa or Oasis Pool, playing in the waves, making sand castles on the Dilmun Beach or gliding along the Paradise River past exploding fountains, gushing waterfalls and through caves.

The One Place for Adrenalin Seekers

For guests looking for an adrenalin rush then the Falcons' Dive is the place to head for. With a choice of four different heart-pumping rides there is never a dull moment. The Boomerago and Superbowl will spin, tumble and thrill riders, while the Speed Slide shoots those dare devil enough to push off down a near vertical slide. There are three body slides to choose from which give a different experience on each ride.

The One place for Real Fun Again and Again

New for 2009, the Lost Paradise of Dilmun is offering guests who wish to return again and again the opportunity to purchase an annual Splashdown Pass. All pass holders have access to the Water Park for a whole calendar year from the date of purchase and can enjoy added benefits such as a special ticketing booth, a free drink at every visit as well as a 10% discount on all merchandise in the Souq, the Water Park's extensive retail outlet and the chance to be in the know, receiving a regular monthly newsletter with all the updates of the park.

The One Place for Great Events

With the opening of the Water Park for the 2009 season comes a different venue choice for birthdays, celebrations, staff parties and more. Whatever your plans and group size have a chat with the team at the Lost Paradise of Dilmun.

With the opening date set for Thursday 19 March, the Water Park is doing everything it can to make sure you have a great time with your family and friends on this special weekend. About the Lost Paradise of Dilmun Water Park:
Bahrain's $50m Lost Paradise of Dilmun opened in September 2007. Set in 77,000 square metres of desert oasis, Lost Paradise features 14 of the fastest, newest slides, pools and fountains. Taking its theme from Bahrain's rich cultural heritage (the Kingdom was the centre of the ancient Dilmun empire more than 5,000 years ago) Lost Paradise and the adjacent 5-star Banyan Tree Desert Spa and Resort are the first components in the $1.3bn Al Areen Development.
