With a strong brand portfolio that includes Ray-Ban - the world's bestselling sun and prescription eyewear brand, Vogue, Oakley, Vogue and Persol, and the crème del a crème of designer licence brands (Burberry, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Donna Karan, Prada, Tiffany, Versace and Polo Ralph Lauren, to name but a few), Luxottica also owns 6,200 optical and sun retail stores around the globe, and a wholesale and retail distribution network to match.

d'pr will be responsible for driving a strategic and creative brand building campaign for the Luxottica's extensive stable of brands, in a key market that is both discerning and developed.

Andrea Zaffin, General Manager for Luxottica said: "We were looking for a PR agency in the region that had strong market knowledge, creative capability, and an innate understanding of premium positioning in the luxury consumer fashion and retail sector. d'pr ticks all the boxes."

Katherine Raso, Consumer Account Director at d'pr said:
"Our track record in the creation and execution of PR campaigns for high-end, luxury retail brands is proven, and we are delighted to be offering our expertise to Luxottica."

Luxottica's most recent brand to debut in the Middle East is the K&L collection, an exciting new eyewear brand targeted at the fashion-conscious consumer looking for an affordable option.

Presented to the 30 retail chains represented through the distributor Yaco trading (Yateem group) at a trendy fashion catwalk launch in Dubai last week, the 50-strong K&L model collection is expected to generate strong consumer interest and appeal.
