The United Nations' recognised observance was celebrated over two days on March 7 and 8.

The Centre used the occasion to give out gift vouchers to the first 250 customers who made purchases from stores along Fashion Avenue, the mall's dedicated fashion boulevard.

Ibrahim Al Qasmi, General Manager, Muscat City Centre explained why the mall decided on the promotion.

"Muscat City Centre wanted to acknowledge in a small way the important contribution that women make to our society," he said.

"International Womens' Day was the perfect opportunity for us to say a thank you and we were very pleased to be able to give out vouchers from Fashion Avenue to some of our loyal customers," he added.
