"With fixed line broadband still a growing industry in the region, HSPA and mobile broadband will continue to offer consumers in the Middle East an alternative access to fast internet. The E182E innovation can meet the increasing demands for faster mobile Internet speeds and allow consumers to easily carry their broadband around in their pocket,"
said Ihab Ghattas Assistant President, Middle East Region, Huawei Technologies.
The E182E has an enhanced design to improve ease of portability and usability. The cap-free device features a retractable USB connector and a peak storage capacity of 32GB. The E182E will be available in Europe this April
"Consumers across the world have embraced HSPA technology. Worldwide consumers are using HSPA to watch films, download music, play games and access many other forms of entertainment. Consumers are increasingly choosing HSPA because of its robust performance, its versatility, its affordability and global coverage and high level of support it enjoys from the international operator community," said Ghattas.
The E182E follows the success of Huawei's flagship mobile broadband devices like the E220 and E180. In the area of mobile communications, Huawei has also introduced a variety of mobile broadband devices with wide range of technologies, including UMTS, HSPA and HSPA+, and will launch its LTE (long-term evolution) product in the last quarter of 2009.
