Ismail Matar confirms commitment to Adidas

Adidas has been the official sportswear provider for Matar since 2005. The extended contract will see Adidas continue its partnership with the player, promising a 4 year partnership between them.

Matar elaborated on the new deal when signing the contract with Adidas.

He said:

"I am honoured to extend my partnership deal with Adidas for the fourth year running and to stand alongside the global champions, mainly the Adidas F50 Superstar footballer Lionel Messi."

Eduard Massier, Marketing and Business Development Director at Adidas Emerging Markets, said:

"Ismail Matar is one of the Arab athletes who have excelled in their sport. Ismail is a very gifted footballer who plays a key role both in his club Al Wahda as well as in the UAE National Team. We are honoured to resign with Ismail Matar again."

At the event, Matar also showcased the F50 TUNiT boot, the highly customisable boot which allows players to choose a combination of boot uppers, chassis, insoles and studs to suit their own style or weather conditions.

For unique footballers like Matar, customising a football boot from the various individual Adidas F50 TUNiT components to meet their own personal requirements now couldn't be easier.

Being an Adidas F50 player, Matar said, "It is my way of playing on the pitch that determines which Adidas player I am. I have an artistic style of play and as a striker, I need to be fast and talented to overpass the defenders and score. It is the F50 boots which suits my specific needs to be able to control the ball and take on three players and trick defenders."
