- PRESS RELEASE
VisitBritain - the national tourism agency for Britain and British Airways today announced the launch of a joint online campaign which will run until 31 March 2009.
British Airways is offering very affordable tickets to Britain, with return tickets being sold on www.ba.com for the duration of the campaign, including taxes fees and surcharges, and with validity for travel until 31 December 2009.
"Due to the fall of the pound, Britain now has a unique range of extremely affordable experiences to offer visitors. And the fares now offered by British Airways make Britain the ideal weekend get-away and summer holiday for those booking online in the next three weeks," said Carol Maddison, VisitBritain's Marketing Manager, UAE.
Maddison expects to raise the profile of Britain as a vibrant destination which encompasses relaxation, excitement and fun. By showcasing Britain as being a holiday destination that caters to every traveller's need, VisitBritain hopes to inspire tourists to regularly travel to Britain for their holidays.
"Despite British Airway's constant growth as an international airline, we remain focused on innovation, fun and excellent customer service. This partnership is an excellent opportunity for us to promote our unique product and offer our customers the best of the British travel experience," said Seth Keida, British Airways Marketing Manager, Middle East.
"There is more to Britain than London and with our extensive domestic network, customers can take advantage of this great fare to visit places like Manchester, Glasgow and Aberdeen," added Keida.
