Latham and Watkins relocates finance and restructuring partner to Doha

Latham and Watkins is pleased to announce that finance partner Dr. Philipp von Randow has relocated to the Gulf Region and will be based in the firm's Doha office.

Article continues below
Von Randow's practice focuses on advising banks and corporations on debt financings and restructurings, strategic investments as well as capital markets law. He has strong ties to the Middle East. Von Randow was previously based in the firm's Frankfurt office.

Bryant Edwards, Office Managing Partner of Latham & Watkins' Middle East offices, said:
"His arrival adds more heft to Latham's transactional practice and strengthens our efforts to respond to the inbound and outbound opportunities in the Middle East, in particular the increasing demand in the region to identify the opportunities and requirements to invest in Europe and the matching demand from European banks and companies to tap new financing sources from the Gulf Region."

Von Randow's relocation to the Doha office follows the return of corporate counsel Craig Stoehr. Stoehr's practice focuses on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments and corporate counseling, and he has also had significant exposure to project finance and real estate transactions. Last year Latham & Watkins also relocated a number of corporate and finance partners to the region, including corporate partner Nicholas O'Keefe who splits his time between the Doha and Dubai offices. O'Keefe has a strong track record advising public and private companies in transactional, corporate governance and general corporate matters, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
