World's Only Islamic Retail Banking event to be hosted in Dubai

Islamic Banking has been the only financial sector which has escaped largely unaffected in the aftermath of the crisis.
Jacob Fleming Conferences, keeping this in mind, has conceived the world's only Islamic Retail Banking Conference, taking place in Dubai from 6-8 October 2009.
Advising on the development of the event are Omar Shaikh, Ernst & Young UK Subject Matter Expert, Islamic Finance and International Shari'ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as well as State Bank of Pakistan, Dar Al Sharia Legal & Financial Consultancy LLC (A subsidiary of Dubai Islamic Bank), FWU International, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Meezan Bank, DIFC, Badr Al -Islami (A Member of MashreqBank Group).
Supporting the event is the Islamic Finance Council of the UK.
The event will cover the global trends in the Islamic Banking industry with a focus on Retail, Sharia view of Islamic consumer finance and retail products, International expansion of regional Islamic banks, regulatory frameworks, innovating Islamic retail products (cards, life insurance, mortgages), standards & legal issues and more.
It aims to bring a networking opportunity to many practitioners even before the event, by launching a Facebook event and a LinkedIn network for Islamic Retail Bankers who wish to discuss and debate their views on key topics which can then be focused on at the event itself.
