Abdul Redha Ali Bin Redha, Project Director of Global Village, said:
"The Spring Festival marks a significant step forward in achieving our bigger vision of transforming the Global Village into a year-round cultural entertainment venue. It also comes as a logical extension to an already established brand that just concluded a successful 102-day run in its 13th edition."
"Over the years, Global Village has evolved into a premier regional venue seamlessly ushering in a multitude of new components. Through the Spring Festival, we aim to offer our loyal visitors and Dubai's tourists a unique and affordable shopping and entertainment experience," he added.
The entertainment events will include 50 thrilling fun fair rides, a Kite Festival on Friday 20 March, a reptile pavilion, and tents with sporting activities such as paint ball competition, archery and air rifle range in an urban design setting. A themed outlet, 'Shaabeyat Al Cartoon', will enable visitors to meet the cartoon characters in person.
Global Village received a total of 4.4 million visitors during its 13th edition that concluded on 21 February, translating to an average of 43,000 visitors per day over a span of 102 days.
Since inception in 1996, Global Village has evolved into a premier regional venue, celebrating diverse cultures, cuisine and commerce from around the world and a family destination for entertainment.
