This year's Forum is building on the success of past Al Jazeera Forums to debate, discuss, and extend the discourse on the critical dynamics of the Middle East in the context of the evolving multi-polar world. Delegates will be exploring the changing face of the Middle East, its place in the global landscape, and how to report it in depth. The Forum agenda includes two days of dialogue and debate with interactive sessions and case studies, as well as a day of workshops.
Wadah Khanfar, Director General of Al Jazeera Network, said:
"This is a time of great transformation - as the political and social landscape of the Middle East becomes more complex there is a vital need for the media to better report and reflect the realities on the ground."
Khanfar added, "Just as Al Jazeera endeavors to achieve journalism of depth - to defy simplicity and generalizations and dig deeper into the reality - this year's Forum will explore, in depth, the dynamism behind these complex issues along with their impact on the region and beyond. We anticipate an exciting Forum with spirited debate and dynamic discussion among experts, strategists and friends."
The Al Jazeera Forum, which was launched in 2004, has become a highly anticipated annual event for journalists, analysts, and media from all corners of the world.
