This new multifunction printer (MFP) is based on the acclaimed Phaser 6125 printer with the addition of similar functionality to the Phaser 6180MFP.

"There is a steady movement toward adding more color in office documents; in fact, installs of Xerox color multifunction systems were up 9% in the last quarter. With a growing number of affordable color products available, businesses are recognizing that professional-looking color documents can leave a positive, lasting impression with customers and prospects while helping to increase revenue."

said Dan Smith, General Manager, Integrated Marketing Middle East & Africa.

The Xerox Phaser 6128MFP color multifunction printer copies, scans and faxes, and delivers prints up to 12 pages per minute (ppm) in color and 16 ppm in black and white.

Several features of the Phaser 6128MFP enhance productivity; the device can print and fax simultaneously, its Run Black feature enables printing to continue with black until color toner is replaced and the 400 MHz processor with 384MB of memory ensures that complex jobs are processed quickly and reliably. The Phaser 6128MFP has a very fast warm up time of 27 seconds and as the device is a single pass product this means that all colors are applied at once enabling the unit to go 4 times faster than a four-pass machine.
The Phaser 6128MFP is easy to install and setup in minutes without the need for IT support. With a large, simple to navigate front panel display, this MFP packs a range of workgroup features - such as network scanning via FTP or SMB, secure printing and device access controls that help businesses track costs and ensure color use is easily managed - into a compact space. The ID Card Copy feature allows office workers to copy two sides of an identification card on one side of a sheet of paper, and with LAN Fax, which sends faxes directly from the computer, individuals and small workgroups can quickly complete a variety of daily tasks.

The MFP uses Emulsion Aggregate High Gloss (EA-HG) toner with smaller, more consistent toner particles that enable higher resolution and sharper image quality. Thanks to this award winning technology, the Phaser 6128MFP produces vivid color documents print after print. Furthermore EA toner uses less power during the fusing process and its chemically made toner results in lower CO2 emissions.

To add to these environmentally responsible features, the Phaser 6128MFP also produces significantly less waste than comparable products - based on the packaging and consumables that need to be disposed of during the product's lifetime.

Availability

The Phaser 6128MFP is ENERGY STAR qualified. The Phaser 6128MFP is available immediately through Xerox's direct sales force, resellers, concessionaires and distributors.
