A Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the Save the Children offices in Amman, Jordan by the CEO of Al Ahli Holding Group, Mr Mohamed Khammas, to establish the relationship and the means of cooperation to actively contribute to creating positive and lasting change in the lives of children and youth in the region.

Mr Mohamed Khammas, CEO of Al Ahli Holding Group, said:
"Al Ahli Holding Group has a firm and passionate commitment to making change in the elements that benefit children and youth in the region. We have serious challenges ahead to develop sustainable programs for enhancing the youth's capacity and knowledge base to face the ever changing global and regional environment."

It is the intention to also work together to promote concepts and practices that support the rights of children and youth and to create enabling environments where they are guaranteed the space to plan for active socio-economic engagement to shape their future and that of their nations.

Mr Khammas added, 'We need to protect the interests of youth and the innocence of children and we truly believe that our new partnership with the Save the Children organisation will allow us to better perform and deliver those objectives in a faster and much more structured manner. Both our organisations know the challenge that lies ahead of us and we have identified solutions which we will cooperate to implement in stages."

This partnership seeks to strengthen the professional relations between Save the Children and Al Ahli Holding Group, with a special focus on supporting a better and more in-depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities for youth socio-economic development by addressing youth unemployment in the Mena region and looking at resources to support the development of a 'Child Strategy' that aims at promoting best practices and approaches to child development.
