Dubai Knowledge Village hosts panel discussion on global economic recession

Dubai Knowledge Village, a member of Tecom Investments and the region's premier destination for human resources management, today announced it hosted a panel discussion on 'A local view on global economic recession' as part of the DKV Breakfast Club, a regular networking event.

Moderated by Nadine Hani, anchor at Al Arabiya Channel, the session witnessed the participation of renowned speakers including Dr. Belaid Rettab, Senior Executive Director of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Markus Alexander Giebel, Chief Executive Officer of Deyaar Development PJSC; Sam Alkharrat, Managing Director-Gulf and Pakistan, CISCO; Marios Maratheftis, Regional Head of Research-Mena and Pakistan, Standard Chartered Bank; Nakhle El Hage, Director of News and Current Affairs, Al Arabiya Channel, and Ronald Howes, Managing Director of Memac Ogilvy.

One of the key points brought out by the speakers during the discussions highlighted the UAE's unified stance in successfully tackling the impact of the current global crisis. The UAE Central Bank's decision to fully subscribe $10bn out of the $20bn Dubai Government bonds was cited as an example by the experts.
