Hydroturf, Toro offer system training

Held at the Montgomerie Golf Club, Dubai the course focused on the use of Toro's market leading SitePro Golf Irrigation Controller. A system which enables golf course superintendents to closely monitor the amount of water used and frequency of irrigation.

Twenty five people from golf clubs and contracting companies across the Middle East attended the two day course which handled programming and operation of the system, including the use of T-Map, the most powerful graphics based interface available in the industry.

Systems covered included Toro Network LTC Plus and VP satellite based models as well as Toro GDC, the latest in a very successful line of Toro decoder golf control systems.

Laptop computers loaded with the latest version of SitePro were provided to the attendees allowing hands-on training.

In addition to the training room work, field demonstrations of the Toro 800S Series sprinklers - the most advanced golf course irrigation sprinkler available - and Toro's DT Series - the latest in the golf course sprinkler range - were carried out.

Trainers included David Soontjens from Toro's NSN SitePro Support Centre in Belgium, Andreas Feichtinger, Toro's Irrigation Technical Services Manager for Europe and the Middle East and Pieter Clarke, the Toro Golf Irrigation Manager for the Region.
