It also means DSI will become the 65th company to be listed on the DFM since its inception in March 2000.
In July 2008, the company offered 55% of its shares with a value of Dhs1.2bn. The initial public offering (IPO) was 101 times oversubscribed with around 45,600 subscribers investing roughly Dhs124bn into the company.
"We are delighted at the prospect of today's listing. It signifies a huge reward since our humble beginning in 1966, and is the culmination of much hard work by all our staff who we still view as our most valuable asset," says Khaldoun Tabari, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DSI.
