Cisco names DMC Best Local Academy in the region

Dubai Men's College has once again broken new ground by being chosen as the Best Local Academy in the Gulf and Pakistan Region for the Year 2008 by Cisco.
Since then, the IT Department at DMC has successfully delivered Information Technology Networking courses to Diploma and Higher Diploma students, as well as a Bachelor's course in Computer Networking Technology.
Dr. Bob Richards, Director of Dubai Men's College expressed his appreciation to the Cisco Networking Academy Program for recognizing the innovative work of DMC's IT department.
"Innovation is a constant imperative in a rapidly changing world", he noted. "This is particularly true in education. Our relationship with great corporations like Cisco ensures that our programs remain vibrant and relevant through each wave of technological change."
DMC IT faculty ensure that their students receive the best learning experience possible through the integration of English language courses, latest industry practice, and academic information technology courses. To date, 95 Diploma students, 154 Higher Diploma students, and 60 Bachelor's students have graduated from DMC in networking and employers are consistently impressed by the depth of knowledge that DMC networking graduates have in their specialist subject.
Hassan Khabbazeh, Information Technology Department Chair at DMC commented, "We are delighted to be linked to the Cisco Networking Academy Program where our students are given access to the latest networking curriculum, practical labs, and standardized assessments and quality assurance".
DMC IT faculty are honoured to have received this award and look forward to further strengthening their partnership with Cisco in the pursuit of excellence.
