KFH Research inaugurates first Islamic bank research service

The Marketing and Public Relations Manager at Kuwait Finance House (KFH) and the KFH Research Ltd. Chairman Fahad Al-Mukhaizeem mentioned that the company inaugurated its internet site as the first research service on the global network presented by an Islamic bank in the Gulf.

He added that research, studies and analysis services will be offered for all users. He considered that KFH's initiative to establish such a company is to complete the Islamic financial system, where KFH was the first to establish Islamic banks, such as KFH and other banks in several countries, and took part in establishing numerous investment companies, in addition to Takaful insurance companies. It is worth noting that KFH was the first to establish companies that operate in such fields, in addition to the research center that offers scientific information support through studies that tackle the markets and investment opportunities to all corporations and companies in various research fields.

Moreover, Al-Mukhaizeem added in a press release that KFH Research Limited that is based in Malaysia is fully owned by KFH Group, and is considered to be the research arm of the group. Establishing the company goes hand in hand with the significant development and the efforts exerted to expand in more than one market and country, which requires establishing a database about the aforementioned markets.

He went on to explain that the company's reports are focus on finance and investment in the world in general, and in the Asian, American, European and Middle East markets. The company can also provide a paid research and consultancy service for those who want customize studies, such as studies regarding the markets of specific countries, or studies about certain economic sectors, or other subjects related to financing major projects and increase the investment opportunities.

Furthermore, Al-Mukhaizeem stated that KFH Research Ltd. issued several significant studies that attracted a lot of attention and were covered by the media, since it analyzed numerous markets in the Middle East, South East Asia, and the Indian Subcontinent. In addition to that, the company won several grand awards, such as "Best Provider for Islamic Finance Research 2008" award by Dow Jones Islamic Market Indexes (DHM) and the International Institute of Islamic Finance (IIIF), the New Provider Award for Islamic Finance Research at the Kuala Lumpur Forum for Islamic Finance, and Best Research Firm in Islamic Finance from Terrapins Group.

Meanwhile, Al-Mukhaizeem asserted KFH's eagerness to establish a series of specialized companies to support the operations of the Islamic finance banks and corporations from all aspects, in addition to supporting the rest of the operating companies in the market, since KFH strategy is to achieve additional value for the national economy and the Islamic finance business. The first step was to establish ITS for computer systems, and was followed by HIC for human resources training, and the first Takaful insurance company, in addition to the companies that have distinguished qualitative business that work in fields that are considered to be important and unprecedented in the Islamic finance business, such as ALAFCO for financing the purchasing and leasing of aircrafts, and Liquidity Management House that is specialized in sukuks.
