Dubai Lynx TV/Cinema and Integrated shortlists announced

62 entries have been shortlisted in the TV/Cinema and Integrated categories at this year's Dubai Lynx Awards, the leading creative advertising competition for the Middle East & North Africa.
Judging of the 3rd Dubai Lynx Awards, which is reaching its final stages, is currently taking place in Dubai. Four juries made up of 29 leading creatives and media experts from around the world have been judging a record 2079 entries.
Monday's festival programme kicked-off with Felipe Burgaz, Coca-Cola's Group Marketing Director for Africa & Eurasia, followed by Laura Desmond, Global CEO of Starcom MediaVest Group who reflected on the evolution of the advertising industry. The spotlight also fell on North African advertising with a debate led by Richard Pinder, COO of Publicis Worldwide.
Digital communications played a big part in today's presentations presented by Osman Sultan, CEO of du, one of the region's largest telecommunications providers and PJ Pereira, who hosted a packed workshop uncovering the secrets of great digital advertising. Microsoft Advertising concluded the day with Mark Bresseel, General Manager EMEA who spoke about the need for brands to place digital media at the heart of their communications strategies.
The final day of seminars and workshops today will include The Lynx Debate and Jury President's addresses. The winners, including the Young Creative winners, Dubai Lynx 2009 Agency of the Year and Media Agency of the Year will be revealed tonight during the Awards Ceremony taking place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
