In association with Dolphin Energy, the 19th ADIBF will include new features in addition to returning favourites, from the popular Children's Corner and Cookbooks on Show to the first-ever Antiquarian Book Fair in the Arab World.

Claudia Kaiser, General Manager of Kitab, says:
"The Book Fair is an opportunity for readers of all ages to rediscover reading and interact with their favourite authors - and discover new ones. From the Children's Corner, focusing on fun for the readers of tomorrow, to the Arab world's first Antiquarian Book Fair, there's a huge amount to see, do and experience."

Designed to appeal to the young and the young at heart, the popular Children's Corner boasts a range of activities throughout the duration of the Fair, from author readings and book signings to interactive workshops, such as 'how to become an author' and 'the secret to creating animations'. These are complemented by an Emirati heritage puppet show, a giant snakes-and-ladders game and a reading room furnished with colourful bean bags.

For those with a love of cooking, or the desire to learn, the ADIBF hosts Cookbooks on Show, a showcase of international recipes and cookbooks featuring live demonstrations by internationally renowned celebrity chefs such as Chef Wan, Chef Fatema Hal, Chef Chakall, Viddhu Mittal and Yvan Cadiou. In addition, several local chefs will be in attendance to provide local flavour, and a wide range of cookbooks will be available to browse and buy.

A display of rare, valuable first editions will be showcased for the first time ever in the region at the Antiquarian Book Fair. This is an unprecedented opportunity to see an astounding range of antique manuscripts supported by historic artifacts and showcased by knowledgeable antiquarian experts.

Authors from the region and further afield will be taking part in discussion forums and signing copies of their work in the Book Signing Corner, while the Kitab Sofa provides another platform for dialogue and the ultra-modern Text Box will use an innovative method to showcase poetry.

"Literature is an important part of the heritage of the region, and the UAE in particular," Ms Kaiser continues, "And we are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity to the general public of a valuable experience at the Fair."
