Having initiated an informal breakfast by KPMG, the idea of the occasion was to for female professionals from KPMG to interact with DWC students to build relationships, understand career aspirations, and what they look for in an employer when applying for positions.

The informal event was extremely helpful to all the participants as it allowed them to interact in a friendly manner while addressing important issues.

While speaking on the occasion Ms.Joni Cholwich, Talent Acquisition Manager - KPMG stated that "We have been trying to build a relationship with the college in the hope that when the ladies graduate, they will consider joining KPMG.This event will make it easier for them to make up their minds and start shaping their career."

She has reiterated the role of women by pointing out that "In order to succeed we must first believe that we can. It was certainly clear that all the ladies both from DWC and KPMG believe they can! And if these ladies are indicative of the next generation of leaders - we are definitely in capable hands."

Ms. Samina Khan, Manager Tax KPMG emphasized the role of women by adding:
"I think it is important to encourage and empower in today's workforce culture, especially in the UAE wherein places like KPMG women at work is relatively a new phenomenon."

Dr. Monica Gallant, Chair of the Business Programs at DWC noted "This event was an excellent forum to encourage our students to see the benefits of working in a prestigious private-sector firm to advance in their careers".
