Toyota Prius tops list for most economic and environmentally friendly cars

Toyota got the lion's share in the list, where three out of the ten places were granted to Toyota models. Toyota Prius led its way securing first place, while Toyota IQ came eighth, and Toyota Yaris in the tenth place.

According to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Prius runs 550Km for every 20 liters. Toyota Prius has been the most fuel-efficient car in the States since 2007, through its combined engine that works on both a gasoline and an electric motor, in addition to a battery pack

Moreover, Toyota clarified that Toyota IQ is the world's smallest 4 passenger car and has a 1.4 liter engine.

From its part, the American magazine 'Consumer Report' classified the Toyota Prius as one of most dependable cars. Prius is the world's first hybrid car and is now the best-selling of its sort; as 50% of hybrid cars sales in the United States were Prius, increasing its sales by a large percentage.
