  • PRESS RELEASE

RetailME has announced its nominees for the prestigious RetailME Awards - 2009.

JustKidding - the new luxury baby product retailer of the Middle East - has been nominated in two categories - "New Retail Brand of the Year" and "Rising Star of the Year".

RetailME is the region's authorative business-to-business retail magazine dedicated to the retail industry with a focus on local and international retail trade.

"To be short listed as a finalist in both these categories is very exciting for our team", says Patrick de Groot, one of the four partners in JustKidding, and responsible for the group's marketing activities.

"Being awarded this industry accolade would be even better, but to be recognised alongside the other nominees already is a very stimulating experience and clear recognition that we must be doing something right."

Back in 2006, the vision of four young entrepreneurs stood at the cradle of what soon became the hottest new address in Dubai, where first time parents not only found the latest, hippest, most fashionable baby products Europe and North America had to offer, but where customer service and product knowledge stood at the centre of the Customer experience. Co-owner Annemarie Retera - who stands at the helm of day to day operations of JustKidding - sees the nomination as yet another milestone.

"Only last month, our team was finally able to launch a cutting-edge online version of the store on www.justkidding-me.com, an important step in getting access to the wider gulf and Middle East region. Getting nominated for the RetailME awards is strategically just as important, as it will expose the JustKidding brand to other retailers and Master Franchise organisations out there. We are keen to expand beyond the UAE borders and have everything ready to do exactly that" Annemarie adds.

RetailME is the region's leading business magazine dedicated to the retail industry with a focus on local and international retail trade. It provides editorial coverage on all aspects of the supply chain from manufacturer to consumer as well consumer relations, merchandising, design, category management, information technology, FMCG, property and consumer trends. The magazine depends on a network of correspondents, industry experts and an exclusive relationship with Europe's most influential title - Retail Week.
