International Wedding Exhibition and Fashion Show Doha opens on 18 March 2009

The 2nd International Wedding Exhibition and Fashion Show Doha 2009 (IWED), the GCC's largest and most spectacular bridal exhibition, begins on Wednesday 18 March 2009 as leading Qatari businesswoman Ms.

Following the success of IWED 2008, a bigger and better IWED 2009 is evidence of the growth of the Qatari wedding market as over 80 leading local and international exhibitors and an expected 20,000 visitors have been attracted to the landmark event of the $200m Qatari wedding industry.

Why not bring your family and friends, enjoy the show and make notes over lunch. We look forward to seeing everyone at IWED, 4 to 10 p.m. every day until Saturday 21 March,"

As well as free daily prizes draws, the highlight of IWED 2009 will undoubtedly be the daily Fashion Show - 3 spectacular hours of the latest wedding fashions from Qatar, GCC, Lebanon and Europe starting at 6 p.m. on a dazzling 1,000 sq m IWED Catwalk, sponsored by Elegant Events.
Every IWED stand is as unique as the companies that designed them and as individual as each potential bride expects them to be.

Photographers displaying their work in exciting ways, caterers and cake makers make you drool over their creations, dress designers exhibiting the finest traditional and modern wedding fashions to bring your wedding fantasy to reality.

Hair & Beauty Salons are on hand to advise and to suggest wonderful make-up for the time of day, the location and the season. Décor specialists create sumptuous table displays from contemporary to modern romantic, inspiring visitors to reach beyond their imagination to a place where dreams are made. Spectacular daily IWED Hair & Beauty and Zaffeh shows add to a festival of fun and entertainment.

"Their has been an unprecedented growth in the number of companies specialising in weddings and this in turn has seen a growth in the number of IWED exhibitors. The high standard of the exhibits and the excellent service offered is what attracts brides to the show to plan their entire wedding day in just one visit," adds Karim Zarka.

First time international IWED exhibitors include World Wide Tents, brining the highest quality outdoor wedding venue designs seen in Qatar, and a host of hi-tech wedding photography, video and entertainment companies led by award-winning Lebanese film production company Studio Logic.

Qatari brides, their friends and family are encouraged to visit on Thursday 19 March, the exclusive IWED Ladies Day starting at 4 p.m.
