SMG Mena wins an incredible 17 awards

At this year's Dubai Lynx Festival 2009 Media awards, Starcom MediaVest Group reinforced their number one position in the region by stealing the show with five gold, five silver and five bronze awards.

And, as if walking away with the most awards on the night wasn't enough, SMG Mena also received the Lynx Festival Media Grand Prix Award for the Mars campaign, 'Galaxy, Fallen in Love Again'.

To top off the evening's festivities, SMG were awarded with the highest accolade: 'Media Agency of the Year 2009'.

As Iain Jacob, Chief Executive SMG Emea says, "This is fantastic recognition for all the team. To win in such a convincing fashion demonstrates the strength of our network and shows that our investment in our product, our people and our processes continues to pay off."

SMG was the only Media agency to win the coveted Gold Lynx at the festival and they did it in style - across five different categories: Consumer Products ; Product & Service; Best Use of Media/Television; Best Use of Media Newspapers; and Best Use of Media Internet/new media.

The triumphant Gold campaigns included 'Your Path, Our Car, Let's Pl@Y' from GM-Chevrolet, and 'New Day New Dawn' from Saudi Telecoms.

In the Silver categories, SMG picked up awards for Coca-Cola's 'Touring Nation', P&G's 'Pause For a Cause', GSK Pronamel toothpaste's 'Mumpowerment', and Wataniya Mobile's 'Don't be a dummy, back up your memory'. Bronze was awarded to Samsung for 'Picture of the Day' and Mars Twix for their 'Pause More, See More' campaign.

So, it seems that size does matter, as long as it is accompanied by creative excellence. This is why SMG Mena has been voted the undisputed leading media agency in Mena.
