$5bn Barzan gas field venture delayed

The $5bn Barzan gas field joint venture between Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil has been delayed by up to one year to cut costs, reported MEED. The developers will also use the delay to source gas for the project from a new structure in Qatar's North field. But Alex Dodds, general manager for ExxonMobil Corporation Qatar, told MEED the project would be executed on schedule.
