About the artists:

Trilok Gurtu: A master of Indian music, tabla, percussion, and Western drums, is one of the most dynamic & prolific jazz-fusion musicians today.

Shankar Mahadevan: A visionary composer & phenomenal vocalist, who while being deeply rooted in Indian Classical Music, has been celebrated internationally for his contributions to Indo-Jazz fusion.

Burcu Somnez: A Turkish musician has integrated the "ney", a very ancient Persian flute-like instrument into western classical & contemporary European orchestras.

Carlo Cantini: An Italian violinist, a virtuoso, who has created new musical experiences, by combining his classical & traditional training on the violin, with modern, international jazz bands.

Roland Cabezas: A Spanish guitarist, composer & singer, whose musical adventurousness has led him to creative fusions with jazz, rock, & classical music from all over the world.

Johann Berby: A brilliant bass player from Réunion Island, who reflects the culture & musical sensibilities of his origins, India, Malgache & Mozambique.

Phil Drummy: An Australian, who plays multiple instruments, saxophones, clarinet, santoor, bansoori, asian flutes & reeds, Scottish bagpipes and most importantly didgeridoo, an indigenous aboriginal wind instrument, which he very effectively fuses with contemporary jazz.
