Baume and Mercier launches sporty new watch in Middle East
- Middle East: Sunday, March 22 - 2009 at 16:13
- PRESS RELEASE
Luxury Swiss watch manufacturer Baume and Mercier announced the Middle East launch of the Riviera Chronograph XXL watch in flamboyant new attire of gold and black rubber.
The new watch marks the rejuvenation of the Riviera for modern times but preserves the essence - a dodecagonal watchcase and a flexible strap for unequalled comfort, while the dial is marked with Roman numerals demonstrates meticulous restyling and ultimate attention to detail.
It isn't surprising that today this line is increasingly gaining popularity with the most discerning connoisseurs.
The Riviera XXL chronograph dressed in new apparel is both powerful and harmonious and its presence on the wrist does not go unnoticed. The imposing 43mm dodecagonal case in black PVD steel has its rightful place. But above all, the contrasting red gold bezel underscored by the symmetry of the four screws and a black vulcanized rubber strap puts it in a class of its own.
The combination of noble materials is further enhanced by a superb dial finish featuring a transfer printed glossy white honeycomb décor to recall the dodecagonal shape of the watch. Baume & Mercier's symbol, the letter phi, is present on the gilt hour hand, whereas the counters remain discreet to underscore the brilliance of the bezel.
With its personal stamp, the Riviera made its mark in the 70s. Succeeded by high caliber heirs like the Riviera Chronograph XXL, it is destined to have the same impact on this millennium.
