The orientation sessions will be held at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University in collaboration with the university's e-school of Continuing Education, The Centre of Excellence in Education, and will run from March 22nd to March 25th. Aimed at high school graduates who are due to enrol in Universities this fall, the free orientation sessions will consist of various workshops.

Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Vice Chancellor of Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University, who will be the keynote speaker at the orientation sessions, said:
"The aim of the orientation sessions is to motivate and inspire students to think creatively and strive for excellence in their studies so that they can become global leaders in their fields. The transition from high school to University is particularly important and can be a stressful times for many young people. We hope that the orientation session will help answer any questions students have and prepare them as best as possible for their future careers."

Commenting on the upcoming workshops, Ms. Shatha Hawarneh Director of the Centre for Educational Excellence, at Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University said, "Students who attend the orientation will also have the opportunity to learn more about the e-university and the academic programs on offer and will be given advice on how to choose a programme. This orientation session comes at a time when high school graduates often feel uneasy about their next academic move."

Students experience a lot of stress throughout their studies but particularly during the transition period from High School to University. Deciding what to study and where can be a daunting task and young people today need to take time out to get as much guidance and professional advice as possible. At Hamdan Bin Mohammed we feel obliged to reach out to these students in whatever way we can so that their transition to University life goes as smoothly as possible.
