Addressing the Nepalese and the international media at a press conference marking the airline's newest route launch, Mr. Ibrahim Abdullah Al Hamer Bahrain Air's Managing Director, expressed his gratitude and gratefulness to the guest of honor was Mr. Ram Chandra Man Sing, Secretary for Ministry of Tourism & Civil Aviation for celebrating the official opening of Kathmandu Sales Office and the inauguration of Kathmandu station, for all the support that is being provided to Bahrain Air in Kathmandu. In addition he stated
"I would like congratulate Bahrain Air's Management and Zenith Travel, Bahrain Air GSA for the inauguration of the Bahrain Air's Sales Office. This service will adjoin to the premier level of services Bahrain Air is dedicated to offer its passengers."
He further added, "Bahrain Air is indomitable to launch more stations as part of an aggressive expansion plan to serve exciting business and leisure cities around the region. We are very excited to offer our varied travel services to international destinations to our customers in Kathmandu. With the new sales office, Bahrain Air sales team will offer customers a high level of service for their travel requirements."
"Our new route builds on the achievement of Bahrain Air operations across the region in such a short period, we have taken an important step to fly to Kathmandu, and as we grow our business, we will look at similar opportunities across Asia", Mr. Al Hamer concluded
Its note worthy, that Bahrain Air has launched Kathmandu its 15th station in its network on the 17th March 2009. Bahrain Ai, now is in preparations to launch its new destinations Kozhikode and Abu Dhabi to bring up the total of stations to 17.
Kathmandu is the capital and the largest city of Nepal. The city is situated in Kathmandu Valley that also contains two other cities - Patan and Bhaktapur. Nepali is the lingua franca of the valley and is the most widely spoken language. Nepal Bhasa/Newari is the language spoken by native people, the Newars. Tourism, sometimes said to be the 'third religion' of Nepal, is the country's most important industry, and plays a large role in the economic activity of Kathmandu.
