Free calls via Orange Unizone

Orange Jordan has announced in a press conference held at King Hussein Club on Monday 23rd March the launch of Unizone new offer, which allows university students while being at campus to make free calls to any Orange mobile or fixed subscriber inside or outside the Kingdom.

During the conference headed by Mrs. Majd Shweikeh, CEO of Orange Mobile and Orange Mobile Marketing Director, Mr. Wasfi Safadi, Orange announced the launch of Orange new Unizone offer with a wider zone covering most of the Kingdom's universities including the University of Jordan, Yarmouk University, the Hashemite University, Mu'tah University, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, Al al-Bayt University, Al Tafileh University, in addition to the private universities of Alzaytoonah University, Applied Science University, Philadelphia University, Al-Isra Private University, Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Petra University, Jerash University, Zarqa Private University, Irbid National University and Princess Sumaya University for Technology.

"Continuous innovation is what distinguishes Orange, and our Pay-as-You-Go offers are a translation of our deep understanding to subscribers' growing needs. We understand the importance of innovating and modifying our offers to provide the best offers at all times." clarified Mrs. Shweikeh.

"This offer aims to serve the growing segment of university students providing more flexibility in communication for at the lowest prices. Choosing the university segment goes in line with Orange Jordan strategy to provide the best offers in all public and private Jordanian universities, in order to benefit students and employees at universities."

Orange Mobile Marketing Director Mr. Wasfi Safadi explained in the offer description, that this offer will allow subscribers to make free calls from inside the campus with Orange mobile or fixed subscribers, whether inside or outside the Kingdom.

He explained that this offer will also allow subscribers to choose 5 family and friends numbers to call on mobile and fixed lines with a reduced tariff of up to 1 piaster per minute. The offer incorporates sending local SMS's for 2 piasters, in addition to calling international destinations at a reduced tariff. On the other hand, local phone calls will cost 5 piasters per minute. All of this comes in return for charging JD0.5 JD per week, meanwhile new lines will be charged with JD1 in addition to 125 free SMS when activated.

To facilitate the constant demand for Orange Mobile, Shweikeh went on to announce also the availability of new range of numbers starting with 07-75.

Orange Mobile subscribers recently exceeded 1.76 million subscribers. This new range of numbers will allow the customers to obtain the numbers they like, in addition to the existing numbers Orange already offers.

Shweikeh unveiled during the conference the new validity periods that will be applied on all pay-as-you-go offers as well as on the balance transfer service effective the beginning of April and will reach up to 18 months. This step comes to answer to Orange Mobile customers' needs and requirements for better services and more flexibility in the credit validity.
