GOIC's Council concludes its 75th ordinary session

The Council of the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) concluded the meeting of its 75th ordinary session this afternoon Tuesday 24th March 2009 at GOIC's headquarters in Doha, State of Qatar.

The meeting was presided by HE Engineer Saad bin Rashid Al-Mohannadi, Director of Technical Affairs, QP, and head of GOIC's Council in its current session. Their excellencies members of the Council attended the meeting.

Various subjects on the agenda, including the report of HE Dr. Lolwa bint Abdulla Al-Misnad, Acting Secretary-General during the interim period and the follow-up of the performance of GOIC's program during the first quarter of 2009. The Council praised the great efforts by the Acting Secretary-General, and the excellent results concluded over a short period of time.

The Council also discussed the report of the external auditor on the budget of the fiscal year 2008, and followed up the previous decisions of the Council, the appointment of auditors for the fiscal year 2009 and GOIC's work plan for 2009.

At the end of its session, the Council sent a message to HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Emir, praising the role played by the State of Qatar in nurturing, supporting and facilitating GOIC's mission to achieve its objective of industrial cooperation and coordination among GCC member states.
