Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University to organize the 3rd Annual Scientific Quality Congress, Middle East and the First Annual Conference on e-Health

Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University will organize the Third Annual Scientific Quality Congress, Middle East 2009 and the First Annual Conference on e-Health: The Virtual Dimensions of Health and Environment.

This was announced today at a press conference at Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University. The two events will be held at the Dubai Scientific and Cultural Association, and will bring together representatives from various Ministries, Senior healthcare executives, Environmental policy makers, Senior Quality and performance improvement practitioners, Faculty members and Researchers to discuss and address the challenges to the dynamics of innovations in the field of e-Health and Quality.

"At Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University our aim is heighten awareness of quality and sustainable development and its economic and social value, at the 3rd Annual Scientific Quality Congress, we aspire to work together and share ideas with experts in this field." said Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Vice chancellor of Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University.

"The European Commission estimates that up to 5% of health budgets will be invested in e-health systems and services by 2010, this indicates the importance of the First Annual Conference on e-Health, this conference will highlight the importance of e-health in the UAE and help our country excel in this field."

The 3rd Annual Scientific Quality Congress, Middle East 2009 will discuss sustainable development strategies, new paradigms in knowledge management, Systemic self assessment in education and the Power of quality leadership, it will also discuss Total Quality Management Implementation Experiences from the UAE, as well as Strategies for Sustainable Development of Business Excellence. This Congress is held under the platinum sponsorship of DEWA, the golden sponsorship of Damas, the Silver sponsorship of Emirates NBD, and in the support of Dubai International Academic City, and enPark.

The 1st Annual Conference on e-Health: The Virtual Dimensions of Health and Environment enjoys the full support and sponsorship of His Excellency Dr. Humaid Mohamed Al Qutami, the UAE Minister of Health, and His Excellency Dr. Rashid Ahmad Bin-Fahad Minister of Environment and Water. This conference will provide participants with the latest information on e-health developments. It will discuss environmental issues in relation to health issues as well as holistic alternatives. This conference will also broadcast a live Tele Surgery by Dr. Safwan A. Taha, from Al Noor Hospital, and a Live Tele Implants Surgery" by Dr. Aliot Bernard, Jean & Dr. Amir Hadj Hamou.

The first day of this event is held under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Health, while the second day is held under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Water and Environment, the conference is held under the platinum sponsorship of the Dubai health Authority, the golden sponsorship of RTA, and in partnership with the International Hospital Federation, Health Management, World Health Care Congress Europe, World Health Care Congress, Emirates Medical Association, and in support of enPark, SUKAD and Dubai International Academic City.

Using modern information and communication technologies, e-health can meet the needs of citizens, patients, healthcare professionals, healthcare providers as well as policy makers. E-health means better health, he concluded.
