Canada's Minister of International Trade attends Cirque du Soleil on visit to Dubai

Minister Stockwell Day, Canada's Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, enjoyed the opportunity to see Alegría, the critically acclaimed show from Canadian-based global entertainment brand Cirque du Soleil.

The show is currently running at Dubai's Ibn Battuta Mall in partnership with Nakheel.

Minister Day and Canadian Ambassador to the UAE, Sara Hradecky, met with Robert Lee, Managing Director, Nakheel Retailcorp, and Brett Judd, Head of Entertainment & Leisure, Nakheel Retailcorp as well as with some of the star performers from Alegría.

Robert Lee, Managing Director, Nakheel Retailcorp said, "We were delighted to welcome Minister Day and Ambassador Hradecky to see Alegría in Dubai, a show which has captured the imagination of the public and brought a lot of joy to those who have seen the performance. The response to Alegría has been phenomenal and we are proud to be showcasing such a remarkable show in the UAE whilst also receiving VIPs such as Minister Day and Ambassador Hradecky."

Running since 5 March, Alegría has played to sold out audiences and will run until 5 April. Tickets for the final two weeks of the show are selling fast, so don't miss your chance to see one of the world's premier live entertainment shows.
