Celebrity makeup artist Ahmed Koubeissy in Qatar

Renowned Lebanese makeup artist Ahmed Koubeissy will be conducting a four day makeup course at the Diplomatic club from 5th to 8th April 2009 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Seats are available on a first come first serve basis to anyone who is interested in learning the art of cosmetology.

The makeup maestro will begin by teaching the class the fundamentals of good makeup, before moving on to cover some more advanced techniques and ideas in subsequent sessions.

The course will take a hands on approach with plenty of practice under the guidance of Koubeissy, and all participants will receive a certificate upon successfully completing the training.

"Makeup is as much science as it is art," shares Koubeissy. "No doubt you need an artistic flair and a taste for the subject to be a good makeup artist, but you also need to appreciate the principles of light and color and understand the process of choosing products and techniques for correct application of makeup and care of the skin under different circumstances."

Koubeissy holds diplomas in cosmetology from universities in Beirut, Canada and the United States and has won several prestigious honors including a recent award for creativity & originality in makeup at a contest in Miami. He regularly participates in international exhibitions and shows, besides serving an exclusive international clientele from the Arab world as well as the West.

Koubeissy is also the first makeup artist from the Middle East to publish a series of books on cosmetology & makeup. His celebrity clients include a long list of actresses, performers and high society ladies including royalty.
