The CCCL's second fundraising gala dinner in Qatar on March 23, 2009

Under the Patronage of His Excellency Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Industry, a fundraising Gala dinner was held at Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Doha on Monday March 23, 2009.
Mr. Salim Zeenni (Chairman of the CCCL Board of Trustees), Mr. Paul Edde (Secretary of the borad), Mr. Issam Makarem (Cashier of the Board), Mrs. Nora Jomblat (Chairperson of the Gala Committee), Mrs. Sallama Sayegh (Member of the Board), Mrs. Salwa Salman (Member of the Board); International Outreach Director Mr. Nassib Nasr, and Fundraising Executive Mrs. Maya Jouni Sinno; all attended the gala.
Mr. Zeenni addressed the attendees in a speech highlighting the significant role the Children's Cancer Center of Lebanon is playing within the Arab region and thanked all the CCCL benefactors for their generosity.
Around 600 guests from various sectors, in addition to many Lebanese and Arab residents in Qatar were entertained by the wonderful performance of the international jazz & piano player "Guy Manoukian" who donated his performance to the CCCL accompanied by Gilbert El- Jalekh.
Master of Ceremony Ms. Joumana Bou Eid was the perfect host to this successful evening. The event comprised an auction by Christie's Auction House from London on antiques and limited edition items in addition to a Cadillac car. Moreover a "Draw of Hope" was done on expensive items from Elie Saab's boutique and others, all in benefit of CCCL's children.
The pleasant evening ended with the children of the CCCL acknowledgement and appreciation to donors and participants in making this event a real success.
It is worth mentioning that the CCCL Gala dinner was organized by Cephée & QIT (Qatar International Trading Co.) and Fortune Promoseven Advertising Agency, with TechnoPro Co. specialized in sound, light, and events production.

The mission of the CCCL is to save young lives, using the best research and treatment available, and providing the greatest care with no cost incurred on the patients' families. The CCCL depends on donations, and its ability to fulfill its mission is constrained by the availability of funds at its disposal. This project cannot survive without significant financial backing from the community.
