Dr. Christine Porter to participate at HRM Summit 2009

The first annual Human Resources Management Summit 2009, the conference focused on meeting the specialized HR needs of a fast growing economy, is excited to announce the participation of Dr. Christine Porter, the Head of HRM Department, from Westminster Business School, University of Westminster, London.

Dr. Christine Porter, Head of HRM Department, Westminster Business School, University of Westminster, London, UK has announced her participation as the Conference Chair for the HRM Summit 2009, April 15-16, Kingdom of Bahrain. According to Mr. M. A. Sridhar, CEO of Roshcomm the announcement of the participation of Dr. Porter marks a significant step in the rapidly evolving HRM Summit 2009. This further represents a key reassurance that the Conference is attracting international HRM leaders to share their knowledge and expertise with the delegates.

Mr. Sridhar said:
"We are excited to announce the participation of Dr. Porter and are very pleased to have her lead the Conference proceedings. Her illustrious background in the fields of HRM has positioned her among the leading thinkers in the fields of Human Resources Strategy and Management."


Mr. Sridhar added, "She has considerable experience of running management training courses in the U.K. and has conducted many overseas assignments, including in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. During 2005/6 she was part of an ACAS team advising the Romanian Economic & Social Council on accession to the European Union. Her doctoral thesis is in the area of impact of national culture on management practice and learning styles, a subject on which she continues to write and research. Dr. Porter has recently completed a 6th edition of a text The Skills of Management (co-authored with W. David Rees) and co-edited a further text, Exploring Human Resource Management (with Cecilie Bingham and David Simmonds) published in Autumn 2007. Dr, Christine Porter is yet another important reason why delegates should not miss out on the opportunity to attend the Conference."
