In a statement, Mr. Mohamed Ebrahim Mohamed, BIsB Chief Executive, said:
"We are pleased with our sponsorship and participation in this prestigious Conference that is held at the time when the region faces numerous challenges arising from the global financial and economic crisis as the Conference will attract more than 650 delegates representing GCC and world central bank officials."
He added, "The topics of this Conference will focus on a number of key topics in the Gulf banking sector such as developments in Gulf banking business, developments in Gulf financial markets, financial crisis and lessons that are given to the banking industry in addition to other topics related to Gulf and international banking and finance."
BIsB Chief Executive further said the Bank's participation with this large gathering of senior bankers only serves to highlight the Bank's ambition to forge and strengthen closer business links with the participants and to get acquainted with the latest developments in the Islamic banking business, which would enable it to offer the best and most effective products to its customers through learning from the experiences of others.
