Qatar Airways honours travel agents in Kuwait awards night

Qatar Airways has brought together local travel agencies and business partners to recognise those companies who have contributed the highest level of value and support to the airline over the last year.
Guest of honour of the event, Qatar Airways' Regional Manager Arabian Peninsula & Iran, Ali Abdul Khaliq acknowledged the guests in a thank you speech citing a great number of business partnerships had been established in Kuwait and continued to flourish.
"Qatar Airways great success relies on the work and performance of travel agents in Kuwait and elsewhere in the world", said Ali Abdul Khaliq.
"We have experienced spectacular growth in the past year in Kuwait, and want to pay tribute to the travel trade who has contributed to this outstanding result," he added.
The awards were presented by Ali Abdul Khaliq as well as by the Area Manager Kuwait, Mohammed Al Jumairi.
Qatar Airways has recently announced new plans as part of its ongoing growth strategy, which has been ramped up for 2009 and includes six new route launches, including Melbourne and Sydney in Australia; Goa and Amritsar in India; and two further additions to its extensive European network. Frequency and capacity increases on selected routes are also scheduled.
Qatar Airways currently operates daily four flights between Kuwait City and Doha, with a total of 28 flights a week offering connections to the airline's growing network of over 80 destinations in the Far East, South Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe and North America.
In just five days time, beginning March 30, Qatar Airways will be adding the State of Texas to its network. Daily non-stop flights from Doha to Houston will become the airline's 3rd US gateway city providing an important air corridor linking these world energy capitals and Kuwait with an excellent product - Qatar Airways' state-of-the-art aircraft the Boeing 777-200 Long Range.
