Non-profit governmental and private institutions along with various nationalities will be on hand to witness 10,000 students gather at 4 pm at Abu Dhabi Corniche and create a human formation of the logo of "Um Al-Emarat," with a logo of the UAE in the middle.
"This event is a perfect expression of appreciation for H.H. Sheikha Fatima's inspiring commitment to community-based, educational and humanitarian initiatives, and our gratitude to the nation's wise leadership. We share H.H.'s belief that national growth must be achieved hand-in-hand with societal development. Injazat currently supports several programs that serve as our way of giving back to the community that has helped us achieve success,"
said Ibrahim Mohamad Lari, CEO, Injazat Data Systems.
The Festival reflects the ideals of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of the UAE, who highly encouraged volunteerism and humanitarian work to alleviate human suffering and pain, and the translation of these ideals into tangible and sustainable community-based initiatives.
The UAE's first community-based volunteering conference will also be held tomorrow starting 10 am at the Emirates Palace Hotel as part of the Festival. The meeting will assemble an elite group of senior specialists who will discuss the activation of institutional volunteer programs and the formation of skilled volunteer teams that shall participate in sustainable social development focusing on local and global educational, environmental, cultural and health areas.
