OMD will assume the planning and buying tasks for the prestigious watchmaker from April 2009. The 2009 product line-up, along with Tag Heuer's sports and glamour brand ambassadors, promises for an exciting time ahead.
"We've certainly been impressed by OMD's grasp of our category and target audience. Not only did they demonstrate a very clear understanding of our brand and its goals, they also drafted a very clear and compelling path for us to go forward. This approach, combined with exciting ideas and excellent booking conditions, was a winning combination."
said Sonia Benjelloun, Marketing Manager at TAG Heuer Middle East.
"As an iconic and avant-garde brand, Tag Heuer will feel at home at OMD, as we share many of their values," commented Shadi Kandil, general manager of OMD Dubai. "Luxury is an exciting category at the best of times and the present conditions make it a particularly stimulating assignment. We're thrilled to have been put to task by such a prestigious brand, which complements our cross-category luxury credentials."
In addition to the famous watch line-up, OMD will also handle the brand's new move into mobile phones. Tag Heuer's Meridiist communication instrument is made from watch-making stainless steel and has two unscratchable 60.5 carat sapphire crystal displays.
Another key feature is the excellent battery life, providing 7 hours of talk time and 672 hours of standby time. Considering the region's love affair with mobile phones, uniqueness, performance and style, the Meridiist is promised an exciting future in the region.
