Limitless hosts Hong Kong engineers at Arabian Canal

Limitless has hosted 16 of Hong Kong's top young engineers at the Arabian Canal, where more than 12.5 million cubic metres of earth has been excavated to make way for the 75km waterway and canalside city.

The Young Members Committee of Hong Kong's Institution of Engineers visited the Canal as part of an "Engineering Miracles" tour of Dubai, which focused on innovative developments and new technologies used in complex engineering projects.

Ian Raine, Project Director, Arabian Canal, said:
"Arabian Canal is a huge engineering challenge and a miracle in the making. Using techniques and equipment never seen before in Dubai, we are 'recycling' excavated earth to create waterside landscapes in the form of valleys and hills up to 200 metres high - another first for Dubai."


"It was an honour to show these gifted young people how the Arabian Canal is a future wonder of the engineering world," Raine added.
