Silver Air strengthens its team

Silver Air, the leading UAE based airline specializing in ACMI operations, has announced a number of key senior appointments to support its continued growth.

Captain Peter Larsen has been appointed as the new Director of Flight Operations; Peter joins Silver Air from a leading European Boeing 737 operator, and has many years command and management experience in intensive 737 operations.

"I'm very excited to be able to join Silver at this point in our development. Working as part of such a professional and experienced team is a real pleasure, and I am keen to be part of our future growth."

Tim Lee joins as Commercial Director. Formerly Finance Director at Tiger Airways (the leading Singapore low cost carrier), and Managing Director of a UK based start-up airline, Tim brings with him a range of commercial skills from the low cost industry.

"It's great to be back in Dubai, and great to be part of something that is growing so well. I'm looking forward to working with more and more local airlines, and to providing them with even higher levels of service - and even more competitive pricing!"

Paulo Rodrigues joins the team as Director, Ground Operations. Based at Silver Air's Ras al Khaimah facility, Paulo brings a wealth of experience from his time working for airlines around the world, as diverse as Europe, South Africa and the Far East. "I'm as excited as everybody else to be part of a new operation where challenges and success are part of our day to day routine''

Captain Lars Sondergaard is Silver's new Director of Training and Standards. Like Peter Larsen, Lars worked for a leading European Boeing 737 operator prior to joining Silver Air, and brings with him many years of training experience. "I am very much looking forward to joining Silver Air and bringing our crews to even higher professional standards than we have today".
