Effat University's Office of Scholarship and the Student Affairs department organized the event to grant full scholarships to the top excellent students in an aim to optimize its educational output by investing in such potential candidates.
Sixty six students were recommended by the Ministry of Education upon achieving a score of 100% on their GPA; three of them are special need students: two are from Deaf Children Institute and one from Al-Noor wa Al-Amal School for Blinds.
Based on that, Dr. Haifa Jamal Al-Lail, Dean of Effat University, gave her directions to form a committee to work on the special arrangements for these contestants. In order to get the full scholarship, a contestant is required to pass several tests, in addition to a personal interview conducted by the academic and administrative committee of the scholarship contest.
The names of the winners will be announced in Effat University Annual Scholarship Contest which will be held on April 2nd 2009.
