The seminars will see industry experts examine how the integration of Digital technology into the Production Print space is not only a competitive necessity but also a clear strategy in building competitive advantage and product differentiation for Print Service Providers in these current economic conditions.
Nicholas van Santen, Business Solutions Marketing Manager, Canon Middle East, said:
"As an innovator in digital Production Print, it is natural for Canon to have a massive presence at such an important and dedicated Production Print event. Through our participation at Gulf Print, Canon will provide the regional professional print industry with a range of new technologies, workflow solutions and tangible, value-adding business opportunities to allow our customers to stand out from the crowd and add significant extra value to their business."
Following its successful preview at DRUPA, Canon will showcase the imagePRESS 1135 Monochrome High production Digital Press at Gulf Print. The imagePRESS 1135 uses the same core architecture of the successful imagePRESS C7000VP and delivers phenomenal tonal graduation and sharp, crisp lines and fonts to bring monochrome digital production into a whole new league.
Canon will also reveal for the first time in the Middle East the imagePRESS C1+, the industry's first light production digital printer to use a revolutionary fifth clear toner that can create amazing effects including metallic accents, watermarks, spot and reverse spot coating all within the device.
"Canon is introducing the imagePRESS C1+ to the Middle East market as a unique technology to help printers differentiate their product offering and bring higher value services to their customers. This will help them to not only retain and increase their customer base, but to also offer printed products with a significant added value," added van Santen.
Canon will be hosting a series of insightful seminars and workshops. A panel of renowned industry professionals will discuss key findings from 'The Insight Report: Digital Printing Directions', researched and written by Professor Emeritus Frank Romano of the Rochester Institute of Technology. This report will be launched in the Middle East exclusively by Canon at Gulf Print 2009.
The seminar titled, Trends & Opportunities: The Future Directions of Digital Print will deliver extensive value to professional printers who are looking to come to terms with, and prosper within the new realities and challenges facing the printing industry.
The Panel will consist of Dr George Nubar Simonian, Professor of Print at Halwan University, Cairo, Mr. Geoff Hobbin, Marketing Manager Production Solutions at Canon Europe, London and Mr. Ayman Aly, Production Solutions Marketing Manager, Canon Middle East, Dubai.
