In addition to having representatives from Al-Futtaim Training and Development Centre and various other companies, UAE nationals also had the opportunity to interact with Emiratis currently employed with the group. This provided young Emiratis first hand feedback on Al-Futtaim, its work culture and overall working experiences.
Zuhair Al-Haj, General Manager, Group Administration and Emiratisation, Al-Futtaim said:
"Careers UAE once again provided us an excellent platform to showcase Al-Futtaim's broad spectrum of companies, industries and respective career opportunities available to UAE nationals. "
"Last year, a high percentage of UAE nationals made Al-Futtaim their employer of choice at the Careers Fair. We are confident this year's response too will result in an increased percentage of highly talented and driven individuals aligned with our mission of making tomorrow a better place.
"Seeking out talent and training them to become professional well-equipped employees is crucial. We were particularly happy that a high proportion of applicants were young men and women with strong people skills and who were particularly interested in the services industry."
Al-Futtaim regularly recruits talented young UAE nationals into positions across its wide portfolio of over 65 companies while actively supporting the progression of the employees through training and mentorship.
Al-Futtaim operates across various sectors including automotive, retail, electronics, engineering and technologies, finance, real estate and services. The group currently employs in excess of 20,000 people across the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Egypt, Syria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Europe.
The three-day event was organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre, in conjunction with TANMIA, Ministry of Labour, Emirates Nationals Development Programme (ENDP), Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University and UAE University.
