"UAE residents do not need an introduction to the MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show. It is the most popular Jewellery event in the region and is now in its 26th edition,"
said Mr Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, Director-General of Expo Centre Sharjah.
"Though we have distributed gifts and prizes to the visitors to the show in its previous editions, the bonanza we are offering now is unprecedented in that there are a huge number of them this time" Mr Midfa said.
"Shoppers who spend Dhs500 or more will qualify for a raffle draw to be held every day," he said. Daily prizes to be won in raffle draws include a grand prize of a beautiful diamond set (a necklace, earrings and a ring).
The Hong Pavilion at the show is giving away free gifts to visitors every day. Tiger Eye Stone Rosaries will be distributed daily (on April 7, 9 & 10, from 4pm to 10pm),while Fresh Water Pearl Bracelets will be given away on April 8 & 11 during exclusive ladies timings, from 11am to 2pm.
Visitors will receive the gifts on a first come, first served basis and the distribution of the gifts is subject to the daily limits."This has been done to ensure that visitors get a fair chance to receive the gifts," said Mr Midfa.
Hong Kong will have the biggest number of participants in its country pavilion this time. About 57 exhibitors from the country will display latest designs in gold, diamond and precious stones at the pavilion. Other countries that will have their pavilions include India, Italy, Thailand, Lebanon and Singapore.
The 26th MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show will feature over 450 exhibitors, displaying loose pearls, diamonds, precious stones, gold and diamond jewellery, diamond and pearl sets, crystals, watches, jewellery displays, and different kinds of tools used in the trade at 16,000 square metres of exhibition space.
The general visiting hours of show will be from 11am to 10pm on April 7, and from 4pm to 10pm on April 8, 9, 10 and 11. Entry is free.
