Switzerland's top hotel is combining more than 130 years of experience with a modern style of hospitality in introducing Middle East travellers to an attractive new getaway option on the shores of Lake Geneva.
Situated adjacent to the Beau-Rivage Palace and offering magnificent views of the lake, the five separate 18th century mansions which comprise the hotel are surrounded by a private garden and feature a wide range of modern conveniences.
All 35 rooms and suites are individually decorated and offer direct dial telephone, pay television, internet television access, modem plugs, and minibar. Significantly, the hotel offers guests the same exquisite standard of service which has made the larger, classical style Beau-Rivage Palace a popular choice with visitors from the Middle East, and around the world.
"Today's leisure travellers are increasingly looking for intimate and individual hotel properties where attention to detail and a personal and homely service is a key attraction," said Yves Chavaillaz, general manager of the Hotel Angleterre & Résidence.
"We're offering our guests the chance to enjoy the best of Swiss hospitality in a discrete and relaxing setting, and we expect to be welcoming many Middle East visitors in the months and years ahead, particularly during the summer and holiday periods."
True to the Beau-Rivage Palace tradition, guests at the Hotel Angleterre & Résidence have the option of a limousine pick-up for a 40-minute trip from Geneva Cointrin Airport in a luxurious chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce. Swiss International Airlines operates 31 weekly flights from the Middle East to Zurich - including daily services from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and others from Cairo, Muscat, Jeddah and Riyadh - with 14 daily connecting flights to Geneva
Once checked in at the Hotel Angleterre & Résidence, guests will find Lausanne's popular shopping area is a short distance away, while a stroll to the world's only Olympic Museum takes about three minutes.
