Abu Dhabi represents Bahrain Air's 16th destination

Bahrain Air is pleased to announce the launch of its first flight to Abu Dhabi as part of its expansion within the GCC, where it is the 5th station in the GCC and the 16th station of Bahrain Air's network.

On this occasion, Bahrain Air celebrated at Abu Dhabi International Airport and the Inaugural flight was led by Shaikh Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Bahrain Air's Chairman and Mr. Ibrahim Abdulla Al Hamer, Bahrain Air's Managing Director, companying them the Senior Management of Bahrain Air.

Flight 2B303 was greeted at Abu Dhabi International Airport with a water cannon salute followed by a welcoming ceremony for the arriving delegation.

At the gate, Mr. Mohammed Al Bulooki, Vice President, Airline Marketing and Aeronautical Revenue, Abu Dhabi Airport Company (ADAC), H.E. Mohammed Hamed Al Mouawda Bahrain Ambassador to the UAE, and a number of dignitaries, officials and journalists, who welcomed Bahrain Air delegation upon the arrival, followed the Inaugural flight, a reception and press conference which was held at Al Dar Lounge at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Mohammed Al Bulooki, Vice President, Airline Marketing and Aeronautical Revenue, reiterated ADAC's commitment to support airlines wishing to establish operations from Abu Dhabi International Airport.

"As Abu Dhabi's diverse population continues to grow, so does the demand for air travel. At ADAC, our aim is to offer our guests choices and options on different airlines with different products. Having competitive airlines at our airports further boosts our ability to serve Abu Dhabi and the UAE better. We are delighted Bahrain Air has chosen Abu Dhabi as the airline perfectly complements our current mix of services and destinations," Al Bulooki said

"ADAC is committed to providing support and assistance to airlines establishing routes from Abu Dhabi International Airport, and to support the exponential growth of our Emirate," he added.

On this occasion, Shaikh Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, addressing the press after the inaugural said, "I would like to thank all the officials of Abu Dhabi Airport Company and Abu Dhabi Civil Aviation Authorities for the support and assistance offered to Bahrain Air," further he added, "I am very pleased to inaugurate Bahrain Air new service to Abu Dhabi, and reiterate Bahrain Air strong commitment to serve the people of Abu Dhabi, where Abu Dhabi represents our 16th destination, and our second destination in The United Arab of Emirates."

Furthermore Shaikh Mohammed Al Khalifa added, "Flying to the capital of United Arab of Emirates is an important new development, and it will prove a popular destination of interest for leisure and business travellers, who want to visit United Arab of Emirates thriving capital city, as our airline undergoes dynamic development, it is of key importance for us not only to offer new routes and services, but also to become more easily available to our customers."

Mr. Ibrahim Al Hamer Bahrain Air's Managing Director added, "We are introducing new services, at the same time launching new destinations; this reflects the company's determined objectives of expanding, moreover to strengthen and to provide the best service for travellers flying on Bahrain Air."

Additionally Mr. Al Hamer added, "We are delighted to introduce Abu Dhabi where it is a major destination for any airline, mainly within the regional market level. After a long market research the schedule was finalized that the passengers will find it very convenient both business travellers and regular passengers, adding to that the affordable fares, Bahrain Air will operate 9 weekly direct flights from Bahrain to Abu Dhabi City."

Though the main concept is affordable pricing, Bahrain Air offers both Premium as well as Economy Class to the passengers and varieties of in-flight entertainment options while flying and will have the opportunity to select and buy from a wide choice of duty free items competitively priced.
